The Fourth Annual Blue Ridge Cyclocross Cup is Here!

Brought back for a fourth straight season due to overwhelming popular demand, the 2011 Blue Ridge Cyclocross Cup is your Virginia (underground) Cyclocross championships. League Style!!

We all know there are quite a few different cycling teams, clubs, and gangs in this town. As far as the Blue Ridge Cup is concerned, there is only one team per town. And you're on it!

Race Details

All races will take place on Tuesdays at 5:30PM and last 40 minutes, with all riders racing at the same time.

All races will be scored using a points system, with points awarded for things like:

Racing
Spectators
First time racers
Place earned in race
and more!

Points are awarded as follows:

Placings
Ten point are awarded for first place, nine points for second place and so on down to one point for tenth place in both the men's and women's categories.
Out-of-town Spectators
Visiting teams are awarded one point for each spectator they bring to the race. Please ask your out-of-town visitors to sign in with the scorer.
Newbies
A goal of the Blue Ridge Cyclocross series is to introduce cyclists to our sport. Five points are awarded for each person on a team who is brand new to cyclocross.

Recommended Donations

To help defray the costs of staging the Blue Cross Cyclocross Cup series, please consider making a donation of $5.00 per race or $20.00 for the entire series. Costs include tape, stakes, barrier poles, numbers, beverages, pretzels, pizza, beer and the final grand party.
